catsfancybags are 100% hand-crafted bags made in Glasgow, Scotland, by Catriona Burke. The philosophy of my business is 'Fashion with a Conscience'.
I endeavour to use re-claimed fabric as much as possible. Re-claimed /used/ unwanted fabric lessens the impact on the planet, and is often of much better quality! A small section of my bags however, are made from new fabric. This is due to the fact that, as yet, I have not been successful in finding re-claimed fabric suitable for lining. I am currently working towards all new fabrics being exclusively fairtrade and organic.
The fabric I currently use varies from the 1940s to the present day incorporating
various styles such as retro, vintage, gothic and contemporary and each design is unique or of limited numbers. So, if you would like to find a unique present or even treat yourself, have a look at my shop.
I also offer a bespoke bag making service. Choose your own fabric from my fabric gallery, then choose the style of bag you want, add any extras such as the lining and pockets. Don't hesitate to contact me for further information.
